Friday night we made dinner at home together and then decided to go play some min-golf. Then we got some frozen-yogurt, and I convinced him to take my camera and tri-pod out to one of the grass fields near our house and take some pictures. Unfortunately we didn’t make it in time to get the sunset, but we did still get some cute ones! I’m so lucky I have such a patient husband!
Saturday we got up early and went for a run. We only have a few weeks before Hood To Coast and my half marathon so I needed to get a good run in. We ended up getting about 5.25 miles in. It’s so much nicer to have someone to run with than to go out by myself. It definitely motivates me to keep running, and makes me feel far more guilty if I stop and walk! Saturday night we went out to dinner to celebrate our anniversary with my parents. Margaritas, Mexican food, Sand in the City, and some more pictures made the night perfect!
Every year, they bring truckloads of sand in to Pioneer Square in the middle of Portland from the Oregon Coast. Businesses sponsor sandcastles, and they have food, drinks, and music for the public to enjoy. I’ve never been before, but it was cool to see all the different creations, and always a good people watching experience!
Once we got out of the city and closer to home we decided to stop and have my Mom take a few pictures of us with the sunset and also some family pics. I love my parents and my husband so much. I am so blessed that we all get along so well & I just LOVE these photos! Perfect Saturday night!
Sunday I spent the day relaxing a bit, getting ready for the week, and a little time at a good friends summer BBQ. All in all it was a pretty good weekend!
