Happy Friday! Sometimes it seems like the short weeks go even slower than normal 5-day work weeks! Needless to say, I am pretty excited it’s Friday & I get to hang out with Dan tonight! Around Oregon, the weather is starting to turn soggy and the amount of time spent indoors or under an umbrella increases exponentially. While Oregon is by far one of the most beautiful places to live, it comes with its drawbacks that I can pretty much sum up with one word, RAIN.
Since I’m stuck indoors more often and fall (my favorite season of the year) is nearly here, I have been hit with the DIY/Craft bug! I’m pinning different new ideas, making more honey-do lists for Dan, and daydreaming about new and fun changes to our house or kitchen menu! I’ve decided to give you a sneak peak at some of the ideas I’ve been working on or planning to work on! Like the new headboard, I will post the step by step instructions once I’m finished, and of course will be instagraming along the way as well!
Here are some of the projects currently on my mind. I’d love to see what’s on your to do list for fall too!
One: I can't wait to get lots of fresh apples and make bunch of homemade applesauce to can for the rest of the year!
Two: I'm searching for ideas for a care package to send my aunt who is in the middle of her treatments for breast cancer. I've tried to wait for a little while, hoping that my package will find her at a time that she needs a little pick me up and will brighten her day once the cards and emails have started to be less consistent from others. Any ideas for good things to add to the package?
Three: One of the things I do every year is decorate our front porch for fall, and christmas, and pretty much any other season I can convince Dan to let me decorate for! I love this inspiration I found on pinterest for a beautiful fall front porch and hope to use some of these ideas for our own!
Four: If you know me personally, you probably know I am ALWAYS cold! Bundling up in a cute scarf just makes me feel warmer and more cozy! I'm hoping to scour Joann Fabrics for some cute comfy fabric to make some of my own infinity scarves for fall & winter!
Five: I know my blog has been inundated with running posts about different races and my new found enjoyment of running (Sorry). But, with all the runs Dan and I have done in the past few years, we want somewhere to hold and display all of our medals and race bibs (cause I mean, who doesn't do those runs for the medals?!?) Here's an example I found on pinterest that I hope to use for inspiration when creating one for our office, with some changes here and there.
I'd love to hear what projects or crafts you're hoping to accomplish this fall! Remember to follow my blog and my instagram to see what random crafts and projects I've talked my hubby in to next!
