I wanted to take a minute to talk about my boy behind the blog. While I talk about my husband a lot, I wanted to brag on him a little.
When I thought about the man I would marry growing up, I never thought I would marry a firefighter/paramedic. You see, I am a worrier and I didn't think I could marry someone who I would worry about all the time. Well apparently the universe had a different plan, and I am definitely not complaining. Dan is the sweetest, most supportive, genuine, gracious man I have ever met. Even though I worry about him every day he leaves for work, I am so proud of the man he is. And if you knew Dan and my dad, I really did marry my father like that old saying says.
I think its easy to take for granted some of the amazing things your family and friends do on a daily basis. Dan works so hard for the two of us. He works 24 hour shifts and always does it without a single complaint. He helps people on a daily basis, and does it because he wants to and never expects anything in return. He is my hero, and a hero to people in our community without even knowing it. I couldn't be more thankful for the man I married and for the best friend I am able to share my life with!
This week, I was reminded of just how proud of him I am. He has been working at a local winery on his days off from the station. He will work 72-96 hours a week at the station, and then go work at the winery 1-2 extra days a week. Seeing his passion and perseverance makes me so proud. He loves wine making and wants to learn more about the industry, and I am so proud that he has taken initiative and given up his free time to learn even more.
Yesterday when I opened my computer I saw a post that the winery has done on Dan. As a proud wife, I thought I would share what the winery posted on their website. If you ever get a chance, make sure to check our Stoller Family Estate Winery - it's AMAZING!!
