Cheers To A New Year: January, February, March

Today I am linking up with one of my favorite blog ladies at Peach State of Mind. I honestly scroll my page every morning to see if she has posted anything I missed! I'm excited to highlight some of my favorite memories from the last year and hopefully learn some other ladies' highlights as well!

Looking back on this last year, a lot has happened so it took me a little while to remember and decide on some of the highlights. When I first thought of the beginning months of the year, our winter weekend getaway with my parents stuck out in my mind. Living in the valley in Oregon we don't get snow very often, and when we do it is only about an inch and lasts mere hours. Since I grew up in Upstate New York where we got lots of snow, its always a bucket list item for me every winter to venture up to Mt. Hood to play in the snow!

The holidays can be a bit crazy with so much going on and so many things to accomplish. My parents and I decided that it would be nice to get away for a weekend together and enjoy some time relaxing. Mt Hood is about an hour and a half from home and the perfect distance for a weekend trip!

All week I had been hoping for lots of snow on the mountain to play in, and i definitely got my wish! We stayed for three nights and during that time enjoyed cross country skiing, snow shoeing, and relaxing by the fire! It was our first time snow shoeing and we loved it! Its such a fun experience to just be able to take off on a ungroomed path and explore gorgeous winter wonderlands that aren't crazy packed with other tourists! I'm looking forward to hopefully making it up to the mountain for another getaway over Christmas break, hopefully with Dan and Cooper too!

Here's so pictures from our winter wonderland escape!

Join myself and some other wonderful ladies next Thursday as well when we highlight April, May, and June.
