Dan's 30th

Tuesday, February 4, 2014

Sorry I’m a little late at recapping his special day. I got sick last week after the party and have been hoping that I would get around to taking more pictures of some of the decorations I spent hours working on. Well since it’s been a week and a half since the party and all the decorations are currently sitting in my friend’s garage, I will just go ahead and share the pictures I took that night.

Dan in front of the Hotel event of the day sign with his birthday party on the event list!

Like I talked about a couple weeks ago, we rented a room at a local hotel/brewery. We hosted the food and then had an open bar for everyone to buy his or her own drinks. We had a casino theme and had Vegas Vacation playing in the background. I had every intention of actually being a good blogger and taking pictures of the decorations and room set up, but the cake table and photo booth will have to do. Hopefully when I get the rest of the d├ęcor back from our friends I can upload some more details of the fun night.

And the night ended with these two dancing to 90's rap music on chairs :)

Here's a sneak peak at the photo numbers I made as part of the decoration. I cut poster board in to a big 3 and 0 and covered them with pictures of Dan.

Overall we had a great time celebrating with our closest friends. A few of us even stayed the night so we got to wake up the next more and enjoy Dan’s actual birthday breakfast together. I am so thankful for the friends we have and more importantly my awesome husband. And as we were driving out of the parking lot heading home, Dan turns to me and says “I’m 30, where’s my kids”. Apparently 5 years ago I agreed to his idea of wanting kids by the time he was 30. Hopefully his old age will kick in and he’ll forget how old he is and give me a couple more years on the kids thing :)
