Who would have thought that a boy from Oregon and a girl from New York would meet through a local festival and fall in love. Today is our four year wedding anniversary, and I can't believe where the time has gone!
Four years ago today on a warm Oregon Thursday evening, I walked down the isle to the man of my dreams! 150 close friends and family share our special day with us, but there were two important people who truly shared everything that day meant. July 15th also happens to be my grandparents wedding anniversary, and also (as I found out later) my Great-Grandparents wedding anniversary. Sharing that day with my grandparents was one of the greatest gifts he could have given me that day, aside from becoming his wife. These past four years of marriage, and nearly eight years together have flown by! He is not only my husband, but my best friend. Any time I'm sad, he can make me smile. Any time I'm scared, he makes me feel safe. And any time I need to have some fun, he can always make me laugh. His love and support is unwavering, and our relationship grows stronger each day.
Throughout the past four years as his wife, we've had to deal with difficult times and happy times, and no matter the situation, we tackle everything together. We are a team, and one that I know will make it through it all. They say when you know you know, and it only took me three weeks to know that I loved him! And nearly eight years later, I know I was right after those first three weeks. He's everything I could have wished for: ambitious, thoughtful, caring, supportive, dedicated, and goofy. He's the perfect addition to our family, and the person I can't wait to start a family of our own with. I hope that this day brings as much wedded luck as it did to my grandparents who were married for nearly 60 years. Even though he loves to bug me and joke with me, I hope we share those smiles and laughs for the next 56 years . . . or longer! Happy Anniversary Love! I love you!
Here are some of my favorite photos from that day, and also some that I've never shared. I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!
