What do we have in common?

Thursday, April 2, 2015

I always love to learn more about my favorite bloggers, so now it's time you learn a little more about me . . .
I moved across the country when I was 14, the summer before high school

I've never broken a bone (knock on wood)

I was 16 before I had my first hamburger or cheeseburger

I was 18 when I had my first steak

I get asked frequently if I am Hawaiian or Pacific Islander, but turns out I'm German & Irish

I'm terrified of Thunder and Lightning

I used to be fairly clumsy and have knocked myself unconscious three times

When I was the new kid in school my mom got pulled over in the school parking lot and I pretended

I'm very lucky that I got my wisdom teeth out before camera phones or I could have been a youtube sensation according to stories I've heard

I'm adopted and have had the opportunity to meet both my birth parents and each of their families

I don't like the taste of coffee but love the smell (I'm just leaving more for the rest of you coffee drinkers)

I love redecorating and have been know to rearrange a room multiple times in one year

We live just a mile from my parents and three blocks from my mother-in-law, talk about being close to family

For a while I really wanted to open my own photography business and have done senior, wedding and family photo shoots

We live closer to a winery than the nearest Target or Walmart

I have never lived without a pet cat

I love playing Bingo and have even won $1000 once playing

What might I not know about you?

  1. I'm SO jealous that you live so close to a winery!! Steven and I also live really close to my parents, and soon enough my in-laws will be moving about 10 minutes from our house. I do love having family close by!

  2. I love this! I think it's so neat that you've had the opportunity to meet your biological parents and their families. And thanks for leaving that coffee for us addicts ;)

  3. I wasn't 18 when I had my first steak but that was probably the first time I ever had to cut my own steak before - I never went out to eat steak except at a japanese restaurant and when my mom or dad cooked steak they would cut everyones up for them

  5. Girl, I'm adopted! How exciting you got to meet your birth parents. I know who my biological mom is, and am close with my biological siblings on her side, but would love to know who my biological father is.
