Bumpdate - Week 24

Wednesday, May 13, 2015

Week: 24

Total Weight Gain: About 12 pounds

Symptoms: Still feeling bigger and noticing a bit more discomfort in my back and sometimes in my stomach from round ligament pain, but overall feeling pretty good. I keep telling people that I feel fairly normal, only bigger. I'm definitely starting to notice my energy level dropping a bit and could definitely nap every day if I had the opportunity, although I have yet to actually nap.

Cravings: Haven't had many cravings this week. The last week or so I haven't had much of an appetite and when I am hungry, nothing specific really sounds good. That being said, I have been craving fountain diet coke from time to time.

Sleep: I've been sleeping a little better the last week or so, finally feel like I am finding comfortable sleeping positions and staying there most of the night. I'm needing to get up at least once a night to use the restroom again, but usually try to hold off on that for as long as possible.

Clothes: All maternity all the time, with the excepting of a few shirts and dresses. Every morning I swear it gets more and more difficult to decide what to wear, especially when it comes to dressy work attire.

Workout: Still getting my walks in on clear days and trying to get my steps in as much as I can. This week I've started to notice myself getting a bit more tired, but hoping those walks continue to help.

Nursery: We finished the dresser and moved it into her room this week! I'm in love with how it turned out! Now I'm working on deciding on a glider and finding a few more decor pieces for her walls.

Movement: She likes to move around a lot, but I notice it most right before meals or throughout the day at work usually when I'm sitting and probably squishing her a bit more than if I was standing. Dan finally felt a few more kicks this week which was really fun!

Best Moment This Week: hearing that my glucose test and blood work all came back normal! I couldn't be happier that I don't have to go back for the 3 hour test!

Missing: fitting in to all of my normal clothes. It's getting more and more difficult to find options to wear in the morning, and even at night trying to find lounge wear. I now understand why women end up wearing their husbands clothes around the house as they get bigger.

Questions For other Mommas & Moms To Be: Where did you find your glider and what do you love or hate about it?
