Weekends At The Coast

Tuesday, June 9, 2015

We've been trying to fit in lots of trips and get togethers before our little girl arrives in August and our life gets even busier! That along with all the little house projects I want to get done before that time makes our weekends fairly packed full. And this weekend was no exception.

I took the day off of work and we headed out to the beach with Dan's mom. We've been talking about spending a weekend together at the beach since his Dad passed away a year and a half ago so I was glad we fit this in before the baby comes. We left mid day and headed to the coast, checked into our hotel, went out to dinner and then relaxed the rest of the evening.

We took our time getting up and ready in the morning and then did some shopping at the outlet malls, mostly for the baby and a bit for my mother in-law and husband. That evening we went out to dinner at one of our favorite restaurants in Depoe Bay called Tidal Raves and then spent the evening relaxing and playing games.

We decided to head back early to try to beat the traffic, but made a stop at the beach for a quick walk and some pictures before heading home. I of course convinced them both to stop at dairy queen on the way home for some ice cream for the pregnant lady! It was nice to get back to town before it was too late in the day and we were even able to get some stuff done around the house and visit with my parents.

All in all it was a good weekend and nice to check some things off of our to do list!
