One Room Challenge - Master Bedroom Reveal

Thursday, November 10, 2016

The day is finally here. It's finally time for the reveal of the One Room Challenge. The last few weeks have been so crazy in our household with starting a new business, leaving my job, and redoing several spaces in our home including our master bedroom, which is part of the reason I wasn't too great about posting updates each week. But we all really just want to see the before and after don't we? And that I can absolutely do for you!

Before:
After:
I couldn't be happier with how this space turned out! I just walk into our room now and take a deep breath and automatically relax. I wanted somewhere that we felt at home and that felt finished and cozy. There are so many changes that we made to the room that were fairly simple, but made a huge difference. For instance, adding the curtains made the room seem so much taller, larger and just finished. When I walk into the room, it's the first thing I notice and it always makes me smile. I love when you change something about a space and you absolutely know you made the right decision. I feel that way about the curtains!
Another major change was getting rid of our bedside tables and replacing them with dressers. I love the height of the dressers and how they create an almost straight line across the room, and the fact that we were able to eliminate two extra pieces of furniture. Going from two bedside stands and two dressers to just two dresser/bedside stands and one long dresser has made the room feel larger and more roomy.
All in all, it's really exactly how I envisioned. So often it takes Dan a while to really see the vision I have for a space, and he just goes along with my plans until he sees it come together. It wasn't until our master bedroom was almost finished that I think he realized what I was going for.
